The Inner Beauty painting  by Avi Ben-Simhon is one of his famous collage paintings. At first glance, all you see is a simple sketch of a pretty woman. However, if you take a closer look you will see faces of different women in the background of the artwork – the “inner beauty” of the artwork. This is a technique that Avi Ben-Simhon liked to use in a lot of his paintings. He would layer specific clippings from magazines and use a special clear acrylic paint in some areas to let the colors and faces seep through the artwork.
